Recently Luke Lesniowski and Kyle Wrobleski completed the Advanced Barrier Free Seminar sponsored by the NJ AIA and given by Jack Boekhout from Jack A. Boekhout Consulting, LLC. In the program they learned Building and Accessibility codes and some of the fine points of Barrier Free compliance. As well, they had the opportunity to experience the problems associated with the operation of a wheelchair in regards to Barrier Free codes. They had hands on experience in wheelchairs testing latch clearances, different ramp slopes, turning radius, and widths of corridors.
