In March 2017, a group of students from Warren County Technical School’s engineering program toured Handi-Lift Headquarters in Carlstadt. Several of the students were featuring Handi-Lift’s products for an upcoming competition called Skills USA. In this competition, they were required to choose a company or technology related to engineering and its use in their community. One group of students from the class decided to study platform lifts and how they are used in society. Handi-Lift staff introduced the class to stairway chair lifts, turning inclined platform lifts, and vertical platform lifts. The class toured the showroom, warehouse, and engineering department to see how we assemble and use the products.
