Here is a recently completed project at residential building in Brooklyn. Handi-Lift advised the developer on the design and installed two shaftway model vertical platform lifts, one in each building, to provide accessibility to the first-floor apartments. The developer, ILE Construction Group, contacted Handi-Lift for this project to meet the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to provide accessibility to a percentage of newly constructed apartments. Pictured here is the upper landing, with the 48 inch wide wooden door that opens to the interior of the apartment building. To see the outside of the building and lift, as well as interior details, get in touch to see more photos.
