One of our recent projects was in Linden, NJ, adding a Genesis Shaftway model platform lift to exterior of the main lobby of the Infineum office. The lift was added to the building to provide accessibility to employees. The fire-rated doors were provided by Niagara Belco and the lift has a straight- through orientation, meaning the doors are on opposite sides of the platform, allowing the user to enter and exit without turning. Our sales staff worked with Kamlesh Shah Designs on the design on the lift, recommending that the glass shaftway windows be set flush to the shaftway. We also advised our clients to provide air conditioning to the shaftway, due to the shaftway windows allowing the space to heat up in the warm weather.
