Handi-Lift had the opportunity provide an accessibility solution at Saint John Cantius school in Brooklyn, NY, after the general contractor, Hub Homes and Architect Peter Mugavero approached our sales team to work on the project. A community school program, Good Shepherd Services, occupies the building. The enclosure style vertical platform lift by Garaventa Lift provides access from the sidewalk to the first floor of the building to students and visitors. The general contractor rebuilt the stairs to the main entrance to accommodate the lift, which has a straight-through platform, hydraulic drive system, and an aluminum enclosure to withstand the elements.
