The Jefferson is a new office and retail building in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. The architect on the project, Leeser Architecture, contacted Handi-lift to work on a LU/LA elevator to provide access from the street to the upper level, right next to the stairs in the main lobby. A LU/LA, or limited use, limited application elevator, is a small, commercial elevator that has a maximum rise of 25 feet and a maximum load capacity of 1,400lbs.
It is a creative space, and as can be seen from the photos of the project, the elevator is no exception. A bright green custom color was chosen for the interior. Handi-Lift worked with the LU/LA manufacture, Symmetry, the color match the specific paint chosen by the architect. Get in touch to see more photos.
