As part of an accessibility upgrade, Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Essex Fells, NJ installed a vertical platform lift for the congregation. The lift that best fit the congregation’s needs was a Genesis Shaftway model by Garaventa. It is a two-stop lift with a hydraulic drive system, Niagara Belco fire rated doors, and a platform that users enter and exit on the same side.
Handi-Lift was contacted by a member of the church to provide the lift. Our sales team worked on the design with the architect, Hidlay Architecture LLC. The result is a typical example of a standard shaftway model and blends into the overall design of the church interior.
