Suresky & Sons Auto dealership has been family-owned for generations. Located in Goshen, NY, this family has been serving the Hudson Valley since 1916 — almost 100 years!
The owners planned renovations for new offices on the mezzanine level, new accessible bathrooms downstairs on the basement level and the addition of a vertical platform wheelchair lift in the auto showroom.
One thing that was important to them was that the look of the wheelchair lift had to match the dark bronze anodized metal trim all throughout the showroom space. Our team was able to achieve that look seamlessly. We also matched the storefront glass on the mezzanine floor windows in the lift with laminated glass panels all around. The glass panels offer a luxurious ride and a 360° view at the top landing of the bright and cheerful auto showroom below. The enclosure of the lift is extended all the way to the top of the ceiling and all the doors are automated for ease of use with Power Door Operators.
Another challenge of this job was to time the installation properly so that the showroom could remain open, as it is seven days a week. We worked in the evening after the general contactor completed their work. We were able to satisfy this requirement – the dealership stayed open for business during installation!
It was a pleasure working on this project with McCloud Construction. Special thanks to Crawford, Glen and Pat for their easy-going attitudes and professionalism
